Whether that’s me getting a great education from a top-ranked school in the country or having the opportunity to continue my progression on the field and contributing to the Terps!

After my first day in Maryland, I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I got the chance to watch the guys prepare for their bowl game, and I loved the brotherhood they had. Also, the coaching staff was huge for me. The coaches here are the type of coaches I want to play for.

I chose Maryland because of the opportunity to come back home and play in front of my family and friends. Also, there are great opportunities to excel not only on the field but in the real world too.

Josh Kaltenberger

Kaltenberger received Academic All-Big Ten honors in each of the last three seasons.

I chose Maryland because I felt this team is family-oriented, the coaching staff is very knowledgeable and well-experienced at all levels, and all of the resources here are unmatched. I’m looking forward to this season because this team can accomplish so much and shock a lot of people if we have the right preparation, approach, and execution.

Being from Texas, I didn’t know much about the Maryland area. I was pretty blown away by the campus and really enjoyed my time with Coach Locksley, Sumlin, Gattis, and others. This staff is top-notch and has been consistently winning games. This year has the makings to be special.

I am very excited to play for Coach Locksley. He has built an amazing culture that I can’t wait to be a part of, and I really appreciate his higher calling and his faith. I chose Maryland because of the culture and coaching staff we have here. It’s all about working here and developing us for the next level while also caring about me as a person.
