Clearing Your Conscience
This week, Saturn turns retrograde, until mid-November. When Saturn turns retrograde, the planet's focus on hard work, restriction, and responsibility is turned inward, and we are asked to work on ourselves instead. This time, Saturn is turning retrograde in deeply spiritual, mystical Pisces. This will be a period for examining your conscience - think carefully about whether there is something you could or should have done differently. If there is - and for most of us, there always is - then plan to make amends. This will help to bring you more in line with your true divine self, which is what Pisces is all about. However, Because Pisces is such a sensitive, emotional sign, this Saturn retrograde period can feel painful at times. Pisces is a water sign and feels everything very deeply indeed, so the guilt or trauma that Saturn retrograde often highlights may feel very wounding. Be sure to take good care of yourself, and to seek professional counseling or therapy if you think it might help. The good news is that because Pisces is a mutable sign, there are ways you can adapt any pain or discomfort, and make it work FOR you instead of against you. For example, this would be a very good time to take up journaling, meditation, or some other contemplative spiritual practice through which you can work on yourself while staying calm and centered. Speaking of which, a key feature of Saturn retrograde in Pisces is that it asks us to do the “inner work” necessary to process past hurts, emotional wounds, and traumas. All the inner niggles that may be holding you back. Confronting these hidden issues is never easy and often not much fun, but it is so worthwhile as it can help to clear the blocks that are preventing you from leading your fullest, happiest life. Pisces is also a deeply spiritual sign - and because of Saturn’s connections with the establishment, this can be a troubling time if you are religious. You may find yourself questioning your faith and of course, that can be painful too. Take heart that this is for your greater good. Once Saturn retrograde in Pisces is over, you will have a clearer idea of your spiritual path and you will be more confident in your spirituality. So look for the positives, even if it feels like a bumpy ride at times. For many of us, this is a relatively subtle cosmic influence - but if Saturn is very prominent in your chart, or if you are a Pisces or a Capricorn, you may feel its effects more strongly.
